cat-computer-wallpaper-17A guidline on how to go about giving your beloved pet a burial or memorial service

when they pass on to be with God our Father and Creator of Heaven and earth

and all that is on the earth.

All Things Bright and Beautifulcat-wallpaper-widescreen-19

All things bright and beautiful,

All creatures great and small,

All things wise and wonderful,

The Lord God made them all.

Each little flower that opens,

Each little bird that sings,

He made their glowing colours,

He made their tiny wings.

All things bright and beautiful,

All creatures great and small,

All things wise and wonderful,

The Lord God made them all.

The purple-headed mountain,

The river running by,

The sunset, and the morning

That brightens up the sky.

The cold wind in the winter,

The pleasant summer sun,

The ripe fruits in the garden,

He made them every one.

He gave us eyes to see them,

And lips that we might tell

How great is God Almighty,

Who has done all things well.

O Worship the King

O Worship the King, all glorious above,

O gratefully sing His power and His love;

Our shield and defender, the Ancient of Days,

Pavilioned in splendour and girded with praise.

O tell of His might, O sing of His grace,

Whose robe is the light, Whose canopy space,

His chariots of wrath the deep thunder clouds form,

And dark is His path on the wings of the storm.

The earth with its store of wonders untold,

Almighty, Your power has founded of old,

And round it has cast, like a mantle the sea.

Your bountiful care what tongue can recite?

It breathes in the air, it shines in the light;

It streams from the hills, it descends to the plain,

And sweetly distils in the dew and the rain.

Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail,

In You do we trust, nor find You to fail;

Your mercies how tender, how firm to the end,

Our Maker, Defender, Redeemer and Friend!

O measureless Might! Ineffable Love!

While angels delight to hymn You above,

The humbler creation, though feeble their lays,

with true adoration shall lisp to Your praise.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4

“…For I will turn their mourning to joy, will comfort them and make them rejoice rather than sorrow.” Jeremiah 31:13

“…to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8

Lord, we commit into Your hands this day Your loving creature. We ask that our pet’s joy would be full in (his/her) new home in Heaven. Thank you for the life of this beautiful animal. Thank you for the privilege of enjoying so many months and years of friendship and companionship with Your dear creature. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Bible Readings

God Giving Life

“Then God said, ‘Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind… and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.’” Genesis 1:24-25

God’s Blessings in Life

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He makes me to lie down in green pastures;

He leads me beside the still waters.

He restores my soul;

He leads me in the paths of righteousness

For His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil;

For You are with me;

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me…” Psalm 23

Wallpapers-hd-widescreen-60“The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and saves such as have a contrite spirit.” Psalm 34:18

“For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.” 1 Corinthians 15:21-22

“Your righteousness is like the great mountains; Your judgments are a great deep; O Lord, You preserve man and beast.” Psalm 36:6

“…You have made… the earth and everything on it, the seas and all that is in them and You preserve them all.” Nehemiah 9:6

“For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God… because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labours with birth pangs together until now…. eagerly waiting for the… redemption of our body.” Romans 8:19-23

“…all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.” Isaiah 52:10

“Then the dust will return to the earth as it was and the spirit will return to God who gave it.” Ecclesiastes 12:7

“But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming. Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.” 1 Corinthians 15:20-26

“But someone will say, ‘How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?’ Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain - perhaps wheat or some other grain. But God gives it a body as He pleases, and to each seed its own body. All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds. There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies… So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonour, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, ‘The first man Adam became a living being.’ The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from Heaven… flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption… So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: ‘Death is swallowed up in victory.’ ‘O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?’ The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:35-57

“And every creature which is in Heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: ‘Blessing and honour and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, forever and ever!” Revelation 5:13

“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4

The King of LoveIMG 414158

The King of love my Shepherd is,

Whose goodness faileth never;

I nothing lack if I am His,

And He is mine forever.

Where streams of living water flow,

My ransomed soul He leadeth;

And where the verdant pastures grow,

With food celestial feedeth.

Perverse and foolish oft I strayed,

But yet in love He sought me;

And on His shoulder gently laid,

And home, rejoicing brought me.

In death’s dark vale I fear no ill,

With Thee dear Lord beside me;

Thy rod and staff my comfort still,

Thy cross before to guide me.

Thou spread’st a table in my sight,

Thy unction grace bestoweth;

And O what transport of delight,

From Thy pure chalice floweth.

And so through all the length of days,

Thy goodness faileth never;

Good Shepherd, may I sing Thy praise,

Within Thy house forever.

For the Beauty of the EarthIMG 424477

For the beauty of the skies,

For the love which from our birth

Over and around us lies;

Christ, our God, to Thee we raise

This our sacrifice of praise.

For the beauty of each hour

Of the day and of the night,

Hill and vale, and tree and flower,

Sun and moon and stars of light;

Christ, our God, to Thee we raise

This our sacrifice of praise.

For the joy of ear and eye,

For the heart and mind’s delight,

For the mystic harmony

Linking sense to sound and sight;

Christ, our God, to Thee we raise

This our sacrifice of praise.

For the joy of human love,

Brother, sister, parent, child,

Friends on earth and friends above,

For all gentle thoughts and mild;

Christ, our God, to Thee we raise

This our sacrifice of praise.

For each perfect gift of Thine

To our race so freely given,

Graces human and divine,

Flowers of earth and buds of Heaven;

Christ, our God, to Thee we raise

This our sacrifice of praise.

Rock of AgesCat-Black-And-White-Hd-Widescreen-Desktop-Wallpaper

Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in Thee;

Let the water and the blood, from Thy riven side which flowed,

Be of sin the double cure, cleanse me from its guilt and power

Not the labours of my hands, can fulfil Thy Law’s demands;

Could my zeal no respite know, could my tears forever flow,

All for sin could not atone, Thou must save, and Thou alone.

Nothing in my hand I bring, simply to the Cross I cling;

Naked, come to Thee for dress, helpless, look to Thee for grace,

Foul, I to the Fountain fly, wash me Saviour or I die.

While I draw this fleeting breath, when mine eyelids close in death;

when I soar to worlds unknown, see Thee on Thy judgement throne,

Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in Thee.
